Reese Witherspoonhad the perfect date for Sunday’s Golden Globes.
On Monday, theMorning Showactress, 47, shared a few posts on her Instagram from the 2024 Golden Globes, which she attended with her 20-year-old son Deacon. In one sweet snap, the mother-son duo smiles together at their table, with Deacon bending his head towards his mother.
“What a magical night celebrating so many talented artists@goldenglobes💫@deaconphillippe💗,” the star captioned her post.
In another post, Witherspoon shared a behind-the-scenes moment of herself and her son leaving their hotel suite, getting ready to head over to the event. “Look, it’s like our pregame. We’re walking through the tunnel,” Deacon tells his mom.

“Yeah? Do they play like the NFL music?” Witherspoon asks, beginning to sing the theme song fromRocky.
“This may be our new family theme song, y’all! 🎶 I loved this pre@goldenglobesmoment together ✨,” the proud mom wrote in her caption.
Witherspoon also posted a cute snap of the two walking down the hotel hallway as Deacon had his arm wrapped around his mom. “Loved getting ready with my incredible date tonight ✨💕 @goldenglobes,” she wrote.
While walking the red carpet at the Variety Golden Globes pre-show,Deacon was asked about attending the event for the very first time.
“This is my first Golden Globes and really my first awards show,” he said in an interview before the awards show.
He later revealed the main things his mom told him to remember while attending the show. “There’s two main things: gum, hand sanitizer and be nice to everyone,” Deacon explained.
When asked about whether he had a curfew that night, Deacon said he was just following his mom’s lead. “I’m following her tonight,” he said of his famous mom. “She’s the party animal and I’m just trying to keep up.”
