Orion and Lauren’s decision to divorce have affected them both in very different ways.
In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek of Wednesday’s episode ofMarried at First Sight, Orion opens up about the factors that led to him to request adivorce from Lauren.
“Now I’m divorced,” Orion reflects while confiding in a friend over drinks. “It feels strange, But you know… kind of what I have been saying is, you know, losing the romantic interest, I feel like it would be really unfair to continue on being one foot in one foot out.”
Though his family members feel upset about the way things have “transpired” between the former couple, Orion shares that his mother and his sister are “more disappointed in the fact that I didn’t get what I wanted out of this process.”

In her own conversation with her loved ones, Lauren admits that “getting a divorce wasn’t really my choice,” though she “definitely supports his decision.”
“I feel like I’ve been through like all the emotions at this point,” she says of how she’s dealt with their split. “You know, my favorite form of defense is humor, so I felt like I definitely attacked it with a lot of humor. And I was angry, I was sad, and then I was mad again. And then I was like, ‘Okay, let me sit in these emotions.'”
Knowing that “anger” is a “very surface level” emotion, Lauren explains, “I wanted to just feel all the feelings and was very uncomfortable.”
“I think what I feel the most is just a lot of pain and a lot of resentment,” she adds.

In last week’s episode ofMarried at First Sight, Orion called for a divorce during a therapy session after revealing that he no longer wanted to be with Lauren followingtheir disagreements about intimacy.
“It’s just with everything that happened, everything that took place, I lost all romantic interest,” he admitted before Lauren addressed her role in their marriage struggles.
“I feel so horrible that I’ve put you in the predicament to lose romantic attraction to me because through this, I have maintained my romantic attraction to you," she confessed. “But if you don’t feel like you have it in you to do it, I don’t want to twist your arm. I don’t want to force you to stay with me.”

Despite her desire to repair the relationship,Orionrevealed he was ready to move forward with a divorce.
“There is no doubt that there is chemistry between us and when we are, you know, avoiding the big topics or trying to navigate around them,” he explained. “Yes, I mean, everything is great. But there is no romance within me anymore.”
