I do n’t understandGoogle Shopper . Not because the use — searching for books , candela , DVDs and more by using the cover art or barcode — is confusing . But because they already have a visual hunt app built into fresh Android phones , Goggles .

Goggles does the same thing : You take a picture of something , like a book cover , and it searches for it . I get that Shopper is somewhat different , with more of a unmediated Amazon - private-enterprise slant , since you could bookmark products to grease one’s palms them later ( presumptively through Google Checkout ) .

But why not just desegregate that into Goggles ? Why the hell does this separate other product exist ? LikeFake Steve say , WTF is going on over there ? Android and Chrome OS ? undulation and Buzz ? ( Okay , Buzz and Wave are n’t an entirely fair comparability , though try explaining them to a normal someone . ) Now Goggles and Shopper ? Am I just missing something ? [ Google ]
