NetShareisn’t pass away to be allowed backinto the App Store anytime before long , by the looks of it , because it violate AT&T ’s terms of service . Which mean that even if you were lucky enough to snag it , using it start the risk of getting your bill zap by AT&T. So it ’s reasonable to want your ten Pearl Sydenstricker Buck back - you’ve got an app you ca n’t use that you purchased in safe faith ( asopposed to foolishness ) . But asone bloggerfound out , getting a refund can be absolutely madden ( take : unimaginable ) . Update : Several commenters say they ’ve get refunds for various reasons with fiddling rough-and-tumble .

After AT&T ’s ToS come to light , they asked Apple for a repayment , who direct them to Nullriver , NetShare ’s developer . Nullriver ’s Alex Lovett responded that it ’s actually in Apple ’s hands . fear the runaround , the blogger replied and pointed out Nullriver ’s 30 - day return policy . Alex hit back with this :
“ Ah , the support was put up in a haste and is still being worked on , commonly for all our apps we do have a 30 day refund policy , but it is simply not potential to do that with the AppStore as its all operated and handled by Apple , otherwise we would offer it . If you verbalise to Apple they may yield you a repayment / reversal on a one off chance , i ve heard of them doing that . ”
As previously stated , unluckily there is n’t anything I can do for you . All iTunes purchase are last , and I am unable to refund you for the app .

The thing is , Apple can issue refunds : They did for at least two of the suckerswho corrupt the $ 1000 cretin app . The situation might be a different from NetShare , however . The NYT says Apple “ reverse ” two of the sales , so it ’s unclear if the money was already in Armin Heinrich ’s pouch before Apple tally the brake . NetShare has had people ’s money for well over a workweek .
Still , any way you look at this , it ’s not a pretty picture for hosed customers . If refunds are completely in the helping hand of developer once the money is safely ensconced in their depository financial institution acccounts ( as Apple support implies ) , well , you better corrupt from someone you faith - if the dev does n’t wanna give you your money back , you are n’t getting it . Or , more charitably to Nullriver , perhaps there is just a big ol’ gob between Apple and developer on have refunds to user - then it ’s one that demand to be patched so users do n’t come into it . The last possibility is that it depends exclusively on Apple ’s mercy . Would they offer refund for a malicious app that theykilled with the remote cap ? Right now , there ’s no way to tell .

The hardass take is that if Apple screws up and lets something in the App Store it should n’t have , it should absorb the side effect and make amends to substance abuser ( except for the “ I Am Rich ” morons , they absorb ) . NetShare is an app user purchased with the reasonable belief they could expend it because Apple allowed it into the store .
