If you do n’t feel like clicking or check either of those liaison , here ’s a number more setting . The film does n’t have any major stars in it . The director , John McPhail , is n’t a name yet . But the whole matter is done with an unabashed and exciting energy that somehow feels like a John Hughes movie , an Edgar Wright moving-picture show , a Disney Channel pic , and a Shane Black movie , all layer on top of each other . It ’s not quite as salutary as that description suggests , but it ’s very close , and that ’s reason enough to be excited .
