I ’m not so sure , truth be tell . I do like a lot of what photographer Cindy Sherman does ; her photograph always sport her as the subject , dressed up in story - telling mode . But is this one deserving $ 3.89 million ?

While sweetheart is in the heart of the beholder , I have to say I favour a circumstances of Sherman ’s other body of work to this one , which was shot sometime prior to 1981 .
