Desperate Whale Calf Tries to Free Its Mother From a Sandbank

Unbelievable footage from Australia shows a whale calf as it urgently tries to free its female parent from a sandbank .

The humpback whales were spot near North Stradbroke Island , about an hour ’s drive from Brisbane . The female parent had swum on top of a sandbank and was unable to get spare . Video footage of the scene shows the distressed calfskin nudge and advertise its mom in an attempt to free her from the banking concern .

In reply , a team from Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services were dispatch to help rescue the pair . Fortunately , owing to incoming tides and the efforts of the shaver , the mother hunchback was capable to free herself and swim away . Both appear tired and distressed after the incident , but were otherwise whole .
