It all began with a humbled heart . Artist Wendy Bryan Lazar was sit in a bar after a breakup in 1999 , drinking and drawing , when an anatomically right cartoon heart appeared on the pageboy . “ I wonder what the other organs look like , ” Lazar mean . The next year , Lazar initiate a website called I Heart Guts to betray buttons and stickers featuring eight favorable organs , “ and then I just sort of forgot about it , ” she says .
