In 2016, James Corden entered the scene and stepped into Crawford’s role (although hilariously pulling off the act less elegantly but with his signature humor), while in 2018, shestarred in a spot with Presley, this time with him all grown up.
Three years later in 2021, Crawfordrecreated the original adto raise money for cancer research at the American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, Wisc., where her younger brother (who died at the age of 10) was treated for leukemia.

Gerber hasn’t revealed any plans to remake the commercial in the near future. However, when speaking with PEOPLE in 2023, she did say there was potential for Kaia, a model and actress, totake over the role.
“I definitely think the Pepsi thing would be fun,” she shared at an Omega event the two attended together. “But if they’re going to do her — it has to be the iconic commercial, but a new version of that.”
Gerber admitted that her mom’s outfit couldn’t be topped and when asked if she’d recreate it, she said: “It’s like some things are just so good you don’t even want to touch them,” adding, “And I think some of those moments I’m just like, ‘Leave them there,’ you know?'”
