Teigen admitted that it was her mother’s decision to depart and noted her mother’s strong bond with her group of friends. “She just changes; she lights up when she sees them, and I wasn’t seeing her light up as much without them.”

She also expressed how she’s encouraged Pepper “to go find love and find whatever it is she wants.” While Pepper has told her daughter she only cares about “her grandbabies and her friends,” Teigen shared that she wants her mother to pursue other things.

“Also I truly haven’t really been on my own,” she confessed. “It’s weird waking up and going, ‘Oh my God, I got four kids, and mom’s not here.’ And, of course, we have help, but there’s nobody like your mother.”

Teigen admitted that she began to think about all of her mother’s Thai specialties and all the “little things.”

“I believe that there’s a spiritual and physical connection [with mothers]. And I felt it in my bones when she left, I really did,” concluded Teigen.
