Comedian Dave Chapelle usually transcends , and subverts , stereotype — so I was very defeated when I first saw this minute from the Chapelle Show . What ’s up with the blatant alien stamp in this skit ( which sort of originate out of a larger skit making fun of Morgan Freeman ’s president in Deep Impact ) ? Aliens do n’t all have the boastful bulbous eyes and talk like a Speak’n’Spell . Also , Chapelle touches on one of my favourite peeves here : the idea that our technological advance of the retiring couple decades are so miraculous , alien must have helped us out . Would n’t aliens have given us something better than Verizon and xBox ?
