From far enough away , this installation by the Czech artistJakub Geltneralmost looks like a mountain of gull dress at the end of a breakwater . Almost .
The sculpture , called Nest 05 , is the latest in a series by Geltner that treat the technical debris of our urban landscape painting — from CCTV cameras to satellite dishes — as lifelike objects . Over the preceding few year , he ’s installedcrops of cameras along wall , clustered as though they were boo roosting , and twelve ofdishes around the edge of buildings , clump like barnacles on the belly of a ship .
His 5th Nest installation , seen above , was just complete in Aarhus , Denmark — whichhosts slews of installations along its coastline every summertime .
