Move over Mother of Dragons , we ’ve entered the age of the Dragon Reborn . As part of San Diego Comic - Con @ family , Amazon Studios has released a new poster forThe Wheel of Time , which starsRosamund Pikeas a powerful wizard training the mortal who could work about the salvation , or the death , of their human race .

During the panel , showrunner Rafe Judkins teased what fans can require from The Wheel of Time , which is set to first appearance in November . He divvy up how he ’s been a fan of Wheel of Time since he was a kid . He show the serial with his mother , and said it helped him and his mother relate to one another — especially after he come out as gay , notice “ we could associate over this book , and the women who were inside of it who had to be themselves in this world that was very unlike . ” According to Judkins , another person who really translate this story is Pike , who was the first actor barf on the show and also serves as a producer . Judkins share a memory of talking with Pike about the part of Moiraine , and knowing instantaneously that it could n’t be anyone else .

“ The first time I get on the telephone with Rosamund , I could just tell from the way that she spoke about the character of Moiraine that when she read that first script , that it just strike her that she understood this woman . And when I talked to her , I roll in the hay that she was the only choice for this type , because she understand Moiraine kind of in her finger cymbals , in a really fundamental agency . That ’s the innovation of this whole show , and this whole show working , is that you believe the characters that are there . And Rosamund is the practiced foundation that this show could ever hope for . ”

Judkins note that he sees The Wheel of Time as “ connective tissue between Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones , ” but that the story and humans stand up on their own . As far ashow long we can expectthe series to be , Judkins did note that he outlined “ what eight season of the show might take care like ” before he write the pilot episode . That does n’t mean we ’re going to get eight season of The Wheel of Time , but it ’s dependable to roll in the hay that we wo n’t be run into a Game of Thrones subject matter wall .
