Winner: It’s The Paint Job

One of my buddies at work is really into cars , and by really I mean he practically washes his car every two days . Being an unpaid lensman I ’m always on the look out for new ways to take pictures and after seeing this photo challenge I suggested go out for a photoshoot and attempting something call low-cal painting . For those unfamiliar with light picture it ’s the operation of using a light source such as a torch and a farsighted pic to “ paint ” your image . To capture the look-alike we used a light-emitting diode flash twinkle and ran around the cable car like chickens with their school principal reduce off painting the surface of the gondola during the duration of the shutter speed . After waiting around for people and cars to occur and go and before getting yelled at by a police ship’s officer that we were illicitly parked we were able-bodied to get a this shaft . canyon 5d mkii , Canon EF 16 - 35 millimetre at 16 mm , f4.5 , 30 sec , ISO-100

Toy Car

Hey my rental gondola is stuck in the middle of the desert . permit me take a painting of it . As I was drive to Phoenix Arizona to catch my flight back home to Michigan I see a sign for the Kofa National Wildlife Reserve . I had some extra time to kill so I decided to take a quick roundabout way . A few international nautical mile down the road there was an information area . I got out , took a few pictures , and checked out the info board . There was a map . It looked like I could take a few of these road and end up 20 miles down the main road that I had just been on . I would have to take a few trail that said “ four bicycle drive recommended ” but my rental car had four steering wheel drive so I was good to go . It manoeuver down the route and went on the trail . It was beautiful and I was having a great time . The trail get a little rougher but it was n’t anything I could n’t palm . Then I got stuck . I tried giving it more gas pedal but I was just smoking the tyre . I was afraid of blowing a tire so I got out , assessed the office , and take in this depiction . I let a little air out of the tires to get more grip . Crap ! That did n’t wreak . I could let some more out but then I would loose ground clearance . I have n’t had cell reception in a while so I ca n’t call for help . What am I going to do ? I have a feeding bottle of urine and a granola taproom . My running horseshoe are in my traveling bag . possibly I should go take to the woods for help . But it ’s 100 stage and I could get desiccate tight . I have to get undone . I finally grab some rock and chock up them under the wheels . It worked ! I was moving again ! After a few more trying minute of off - roading I finally made it back to the highway and I was on my way to Phoenix again . Equipment : iPhone 4S. Post Production : I played around with a few apps and ended up liking the tilt - shift result in the Snapseed app the best . It seemed to bring the vehicle into the spot brightness level and made the rest of the picture a blur . Which was exactly how I was feel at the time .

Matte Black Mustang

These photos come from one of my most late photograph shoots with this gorgeous Matte Black wrapped Mustang . The car was in the first place the blue you see in the stick grade insignia but the wrap was put on around it and the blue devil was celebrate as accents and it flows dead ! Its the details that consider ! configurations : ISO 100 , 50 mm , f/ 2.8 , 1/20 sec , Tripod bestride

Photo take of my chum in laws 07 350z taken in Everett Washington . There was a full lunation out and thought it would be cool to include it in my dead reckoning . Canon T3i , F/2 4 2nd Exposure , ISO 100 , Manual Exposure .

Open Road Acura

I rarely work on with natural twinkle since I make for fulltime indoors until it bugger off dismal . For the challenge I wanted to try something young . The background was shot at 1/160th and f/9 but the car itself is actually an isolated HDR range of a function . My plan with the image was to suggest movement so I leave it on the route , my pet thing to do with my TL - S after all is to drive on mountain road . The only edits I ’ve done is make the road opprobrious rather of grey and change the color Libra the Scales to suggest sundown into the firing environment . I used my Canon 7D and 17 - 40L lens at 100ISO to photograph my personal 2008 Acura TL Type - S.

Porsche 904

My pal was travel to his last track event of the year . It was n’t an genuine race , but he was driving his 2011 Porsche Cayman S , and I mark along to take some stroke of his car , and some of the others . There were peck of Corvettes . I numerate 6 Z06s , 4 Porsche 911 GT3s , and 4 Lotus Exiges to name a few .

The one that really watch my eye from the showtime was the Porsche 904 – 1964 . It just screamed “ take my picture ” with those quiet headlights and sharp curves . I took a few in color and a few in eminent dividing line B&W. My buddy had a rough day turn a loss it into the pot on his 3rd lap of the sidereal day ( no legal injury to the auto – just his ego ) , but it was a pot of playfulness seeing these beauties pull around the caterpillar track . I get a lot more pictures from the solar day that I really enjoy , but this was compose so well , I had to use it . The color of the gondola was a blueish gray . It was mostly a nebulous Clarence Shepard Day Jr. , but the automobile really pop when using B&W.

There was no Charles William Post - redaction of this photo . I was using a Sony a55 with a Sony 18 - 70 mm lens – ISO 400 . I took 3 shots each zoomed successively unaired than the next – this was the closest – and in my opinion the best . I desire you enjoy look as much as I did taking it !

Park Ranger

So I go to Calero Resevoir to take a shot of my jeep in an unresolved space . I found a good slur , parked and started shooting . Not two minutes pass when the Park Ranger pulled up right beside me asking if everything ’s ok . I told him what I was doing … and then sheepishly say that taking a exposure of HIS car would be awesome . I guess he would just place me off on my merry mode , but alternatively he asked me if I ’d favor the car with the spark on or off   :)) Ha ha … here ’s one of the shot . canyon T2i 36 millimetre F/6.3 with a little boost in iPhoto .

Cars & Concrete

The destiny where this happened is actually part of a soon to be decommissioned airport , right now all they have it is for breeding flights . finally this parking lot will get demolished and so will the runway that s a XII meters aside . I wanted to get in a few more shoot while I still could and I love using this ramp for anything and everyone . car or bikes heck even citizenry , the entire construction bring itself to such great pellet . The photographic camera that was used was a Canon 60D , lens of the eye was a normal 18 - 135 mm f/4.5 - 5.6 . ISO was 800 and shutter amphetamine was 1/100 .
